Russ - Losin Control

Step into the mid-2010s, a watershed moment when the music industry’s traditional gatekeepers watched their walls crumble. Out of Atlanta emerged Russ Vitale—a relentless DIY powerhouse who famously wrote, produced, mixed, mastered, and performed his soulful breakout single, "Losin Control." Released visually in early 2016, this slow-burning, R&B-infused anthem captured the raw, terrifying beauty of emotional vulnerability. Russ’s smooth vocals and minimalist production stripped away hip-hop’s usual bravado, delivering a vulnerable confession about the fear of falling deeply in love.

The track didn't just climb the charts; it propelled Russ from an underground SoundCloud pioneer into a mainstream titan, eventually earning multi-platinum status.
